BOSTON, Mass. — The Wahlburgers burger restaurant in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston is shutting its doors at the end of October, ending an 11-year run near the ballpark as the lease on the building expires.

The company shared the news on social media Thursday, Oct. 29, thanking customers for game days, celebrations and everyday visits, and said it is hunting for a new spot somewhere in the Boston area with more details to come.

It is the second Massachusetts closing for the chain in a matter of weeks. The first Wahlburgers, at the Hingham Shipyard, closed in September after 15 years. Paul Wahlberg, the executive chef, opened it in 2011 with his brothers Mark and Donnie, Dorchester natives who built the brand into a national name. The Lynnfield restaurant closed in April after nearly a decade.

Once Fenway goes dark, only four Massachusetts Wahlburgers will remain. Travelers can still find the burgers at Logan International Airport, where the chain runs counters in Terminals C and E. The others are a Springfield restaurant and one at Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville, so Boston itself will have none outside the airport for now.

The pullback at home contrasts with growth elsewhere. Wahlburgers says it added 10 restaurants in 2026 and now has restaurants spread across upward of 12 states and abroad in four nations, Australia and New Zealand among them. Plans for 2027 include sites in Puerto Rico, at The Orleans Hotel and Casino and the future stadium of the Athletics in Las Vegas, inside Bass Pro Shops stores in California and Colorado, and at more Home Depot stores.
