Brookline Bids Farewell to La Voile After a Decade of Delicious Memories
Oh no, Brookline! It’s time to say goodbye to La Voile, the charming French brasserie that has warmed the hearts (and stomachs) of locals for the past ten years. As of Saturday, April 26, this lovely spot, located at 1627 Beacon St., has closed its doors. Its closure leaves a bittersweet taste, recalling the many memorable meals and delightful friendships formed within its walls.
A Decade of Delight
La Voile, which means “the sail” in French, first opened its doors in 2015 and quickly became a beloved dining destination for Brookline residents. Through its elegant atmosphere and authentic French cuisine, it provided a taste of Europe right in our own backyard. The restaurant served a variety of classic dishes, including the crowd favorites like foie gras terrine and Dover sole meunière. The a la carte menus for lunch and dinner, along with their special three-course prix fixe menu, known as the “Taste of France”, brought a slice of French culinary excellence to the community.
