A prominent figure in the Boston theater community, St. George has had a remarkable career spanning over four decades, with performances across Boston, New York, and various locations nationally and internationally.

Kathy St. George, born in Stoneham, MA, made her Broadway debut in “Fiddler on the Roof” at Lincoln Center and later participated in a Tony-Award-winning revival of the same production at the Gershwin Theatre, under the direction of renowned choreographer Jerome Robbins. Her Off-Broadway debut came with “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at The Westside Theatre, showcasing her versatility as an actress.

Throughout her career, St. George has completed five national tours, taking her talents across the United States, Canada, Russia, and Japan. Recent performances include her role in “A Man of No Importance” at SpeakEasy Stage and a classic rendition of “A Christmas Carol” at Majestic Theatre. She is also noted for her performances in productions such as “Urinetown” at the Lyric Stage Boston and a return to “Fiddler on the Roof” at North Shore Music Theatre. St. George is also recognized for receiving an Elliot Norton Award for her role in “The Divine Sister”, along with multiple Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards.

The Elliot Norton Awards, organized by the Boston Theater Critics Association, recognize outstanding contribution to the arts, with over two dozen categories honoring actors, directors, designers, musicians, and productions. The event also took the opportunity to acknowledge local companies with Special Citations, including the Boch Center Wang Theatre for its 100th Anniversary, Apollinaire Theatre Company for its 30th Anniversary, Greater Boston Stage Company for its 25th Anniversary, and the Shit-Faced Shakespeare troupe for its 10th Anniversary.

Additionally, the ceremony presented the 2025 Elliot Norton Arts Education Award to Rehearsal for Life. This award highlighted significant arts education programs such as Urban Improv and the Freelance Players, underscoring the importance of nurturing future talent and passion for the performing arts.

Kathy St. George holds a B.S. and M.Ed. in Education from Salem State University and is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association (AEA) and SAG-AFTRA.
