This casual eatery introduces New England-style street tacos with an innovative twist, offering fillings such as braised pork belly, Old Bay butter chicken, and mushroom al pastor. The menu also includes delicious sides, like corn chowder and guacamole served with Nantucket Crisps, establishing it as a must-visit for taco enthusiasts.

In a different culinary direction, TooHot has made its debut in Harvard Square, crafted by the team behind Noah’s Kitchen in Brookline Village. This new Sichuan restaurant specializes in dishes seasoned with traditional málà spices, which are famous for their tingly, numbing sensation. A standout item on the menu is the mapo stone pot tofu, which is sure to appeal to those looking for authentic spicy cuisine.

East Boston has also welcomed a new addition: Taqueria Jalisco has opened a new location in Orient Heights. Along with an expanded menu featuring a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, this new establishment offers cocktails and additional seating, making it a perfect spot for social gatherings.

Wood’s Hill Pier 4 has introduced a casual sibling restaurant named the Block, located in the thriving Seaport area. The Block serves up an array of dry-aged meats and fish, along with unique bites like pig’s ear tots and salmon belly crudo, enhancing the culinary options in this vibrant neighborhood.

Adding to the seafood experience, Island Creek Oysters has launched an outdoor raw bar at the Seaport. The venue offers a selection of oysters, caviar, tinned fish, and sushi rolls made with seafood sourced from Red’s Best fish market, appealing to the seafood lovers in the city.

Kristin Jenkins, the owner of 1928 located in Beacon Hill, has expanded her culinary portfolio with the opening of the Essex at the Cambria Hotel in South Boston. This new restaurant features a rooftop bar that boasts stunning views of the Boston skyline, creating a perfect ambiance for diners and visitors.

Another new leisure location is Park City, a 30,000 square-foot outdoor space in South Boston. Managed by the Broadway Restaurant Group, it offers a restaurant, bar, and family-friendly areas, making it an ideal destination for sought-after outdoor dining experiences.

Additionally, acclaimed New York City chain Xi’an Famous Foods has opened a ghost kitchen in Roxbury. They plan to debut a standalone location in Downtown Crossing later this year. This establishment is known for its hand-pulled noodles, promising to elevate the Asian dining options in the area.

Other exciting openings include a Vietnamese coffee shop set to launch in Somerville and a cozy cocktail and crepes spot in Brookline. Bar Lunette, the latest venture from the team behind Paris Creperie, has also opened in Brookline, further enriching the area’s culinary diversity.

In Brookline Village, Iru, a new Korean restaurant by Hajime Yamazaki, has commenced operations, featuring dishes such as samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) based on his mother’s traditional recipe. Meanwhile, Milkweed has expanded to Dorchester, maintaining its popular breakfast menu while introducing new lunch and dinner options.

On June 27, Woods Hill Pier 4 is set to launch a concept market next door, focusing on local produce and gourmet items, further enhancing their community contributions.

Finally, Distraction Brewing Company in Roslindale is reopening under new ownership, with plans for an outdoor patio that will enhance the brewery’s ambiance. Additionally, Mike & Patty’s is also expanding, with a new location anticipated in Lexington at the intersection of Woburn Street and Lowell Street, coming from their successful original site in Bay Village, Boston.

These new restaurants and food concepts exemplify the dynamic and ever-evolving culinary landscape in Greater Boston, offering a variety of flavors and experiences to satisfy every palate.
