Currently, Massachusetts hosts 25 BJ’s clubs. However, the company is planning to open between 25 to 30 new stores nationwide over the next two fiscal years, including additional locations in Texas. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, BJ’s opened five new clubs, including its first outlet on Staten Island, New York.
In addition to solid opening plans, BJ’s saw a 4.7% increase in net sales for the first quarter, surpassing $5 billion, while total revenue grew by 4.8%. The company has also enjoyed a 3.9% increase in comparable club sales, excluding gasoline, marking the 13th consecutive quarter of traffic growth.
The Springfield store will feature a comprehensive selection, including a full array of groceries, deli offerings, bakery items, pet supplies, toys, and electronics. In addition to in-store shopping options, customers will have access to curbside pickup, in-club pickup, and same-day delivery services. A gas station will also be included within the store facilities.
In a display of community commitment, BJ’s will partner with The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts to donate produce, meat, and dairy products on a weekly basis, providing significant support to those in need within the region.
BJ’s Wholesale Club operates over 255 clubs and 190 BJ’s Gas locations across 21 states. The company has established a strong presence in the wholesale market, catering to a diverse customer base with its offerings.
