Starting on Monday, March 24, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., FitRec located at 915 Commonwealth Ave is celebrating its 20th anniversary by offering free climbing gear rentals for an entire week! Yes, you read that right – free! It’s the perfect opportunity for newbies and seasoned climbers alike to hit the walls. Not only can you rent all the climbing gear you need, but there will be knowledgeable attendants around to help you with orientation and belaying. So gather your climbing buddies, and let’s conquer that wall!
On Wednesday, March 26, jazz lovers are in for a treat! Head over to the Sunset Cantina at 916 Commonwealth Ave from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for a delightful evening filled with live music from both Jazz Combos and the Big Band. It’s a fantastic chance to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, and best of all, admission is totally free! Fancy a bite to eat? You’ll find delicious dinner options available for purchase at the venue!
Get ready to belt out some tunes at the free screening of “Wicked” on Saturday, March 27. Starting at 6:30 p.m. at Trident Booksellers and Cafe, 338 Newbury St., this event promises fun for everyone who loves a good musical! The screening features a sing-along, so grab your friends, warm up those vocal cords, and get ready for a magical evening. Seating begins at 6 p.m., and though RSVP is encouraged, it doesn’t promise a spot, so get there early! The cafe will have food and drinks available for purchase to keep you fueled for the fun.
Bring the kids (or yourself) to the Tiny Hanger Spring Jellycat Party on Friday, March 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 314 Harvard St. This is the ultimate Jellycat celebration featuring activities like a bow bar, live monogramming, free cotton candy, and selfie booths! Bring your own Jellycat for some personalization fun or snag a new one from the shop. There will also be giveaways and exclusive stickers waiting for you!
