It all began when Boston Police received a 911 call reporting a possible domestic violence situation around 7:45 p.m. on Monday night. The situation escalated when the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Omar Riaz from Allston, was discovered to be the only other person in the bedroom at the time of the incident.
It has been reported that Riaz is a family member of the victim. Given the nature of the violence described, prosecutors have stated that it was significant, ultimately resulting in Yousuf’s untimely death. The police investigations recovered a bat and a bloody sword at the scene, believed to be linked to the incident.
