This surge in new restaurants will be highlighted weekly, showcasing openings both recent and forthcoming in the Greater Boston area. In addition to the principal features, there will also be focus on pop-up events, collaborations, and special culinary happenings at local restaurants.

New Restaurant Openings

One of the much-anticipated openings this fall is Brookline Lunch, a favored breakfast and lunch spot in Cambridge, which is set to launch a second location at 1046 Beacon St., Brookline. The new venue will be run by Mushhoor Abu-Rubieh and is expected to open its doors sometime in Fall 2025.

In April 2025, Gary’s Pizza debuted in the South End at 1744 Washington St., offering a unique take on Roman-style pizza. A new café and bar in Dorchester, owned by Anne Lydon, has already opened its doors in June 2025 at 1 City Hall Square, Downtown Boston.

The Sports Bra, a sports bar concept focusing on women’s sports, is set to make its debut in Boston, with an opening date and address yet to be announced. In the Seaport District, Woods Hill Pier 4 is launching “The Block,” a hyperlocal restaurant and market, by early June 2025.

Innovative Concepts

Another exciting addition is Fallow Kin, a vegetable-forward eatery targeting zero-waste dining, which will feature tasting menus and à la carte options starting in April 2025 at 853 Main St. in Central Square, Cambridge. Also opening in Allston this summer is FIDO Pizza, a New York-style pizzeria located at 250 Western Ave.

Gourmet Kreyòl will launch two distinct establishments: a fast-casual restaurant in Mattapan at 1210 Blue Hill Ave. on May 24, 2025, and a full-service location in Dorchester at 657 Washington St. slated to open in late summer 2025.

New Japanese cuisine options are on the horizon as Nori Nori Test Kitchen prepares to open in the second half of 2025 at 399 Chestnut Hill Ave. in Brookline, focusing on handrolls and ramen. Both Koro, a takeout sushi and ramen spot in East Boston at 329 Sumner St., and Mr. Tamole, a Haitian restaurant featuring family recipes at 100 Hanover St., will open this spring.

Special Events and Collaborations

Chef Erin Miller will host her Mid-Atlantic-inspired crab feast event, taking place on June 22 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 525 Western Ave., Brighton. Additionally, the cocktail bar Brick & Mortar will enhance its Italian aperitivo culture with a revamped menu, set to open in May or June 2025.

Furthermore, Short Path Distillery will soon introduce a café within their space at 71 Kelvin St., Everett, maintaining a local feel while retaining their cocktail offerings. A Korean bakery, Nine Winters, is also launching in Spring 2025 at 292 Concord Ave., Huron Village, Cambridge.
