According to the Boston Police Department, the incident began when the suspect chased the victim at high speeds in a gray pickup truck, ultimately causing the victim’s Toyota Prius to crash. After the collision, the suspect exited his vehicle brandishing a hatchet, attacked the victim, and vandalized the victim’s car, shattering its windows and windshield before fleeing the scene on Babcock Street in the direction of Brookline.
Multiple witnesses were present during the tumultuous encounter. One local resident advised the victim to turn off the engine of the Prius to ensure safety amid the escalating situation.
