On May 5, the Downtown Boston Alliance, in collaboration with Boston’s Consulate General of Mexico, will host a cultural party in Downtown Crossing from noon to 2 p.m. This event aims to continue the celebration of Cinco de Mayo, with attendees treated to traditional Mexican folk music and the opportunity to browse artisan goods.
As the festivities continue, a themed sketching class titled “Picasso for a Day” will take place on May 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Seaport area. Acclaimed artist Lee SOEMS will lead the session while DJ Real P provides a lively musical backdrop for participants.
