Separately, police arrested 45-year-old David Menezes on Sunday night in connection with a different shooting that occurred the previous weekend at a 7-Eleven parking lot, located at 140 Main Street in Charlestown. This incident, which transpired around 10:30 PM on Saturday, resulted in the death of 46-year-old Joseph Donahue, who was found fatally shot in the parking lot. Donahue was pronounced dead at the scene by Boston Emergency Medical Services.
Menezes has been charged with murder and is currently being held without bail. His arraignment is set for Monday in Charlestown District Court. This arrest adds to the wave of violence that has the local community on edge.
