Boston, Massachusetts – Sheba Medical Center, the largest hospital in the Middle East, has announced its plan to establish a startup accelerator focused on digital and AI-powered healthcare solutions in Massachusetts. This marks Sheba’s first location in the United States. The partnership, revealed on May 6, 2025, aims to create a “soft landing pad” for startups from Israel and other global sites under its ARC Innovation initiative, which stands for “accelerate, redesign, collaborate.”
The accelerator, slated to begin operations in the Boston metro area in early 2026, will harness Massachusetts’ strong healthcare institutions and clinical research capabilities, merging them with Sheba’s proven innovation methodologies. The facility is expected to play a significant role in advancing AI technologies that address urgent healthcare challenges faced by patients and providers worldwide.

Since the launch of its ARC Initiative in 2019, Sheba has supported more than 100 startup companies, including three that attracted investments exceeding $1 billion.
